Cambria is home to artists of every genre, including thespians who perfect their art in drama, dance or comedy. The Pewter Plough Playhouse was, for many years, the only theatre in town. The Pewter Plough Playhouse has been in existence since 1976. It is a family-owned theatre run for many years by Los Angeles set designer, Jim Buckley and recently by his son James. Step inside and you will see photographs embellishing the walls – scenes in plays that have been performed in this facility since its inception. Jim Buckley has designed most of the sets and has performed in many of the stage plays. As you leave the theatre, there is a cozy cafe Lounge with a piano bar on the left where music can be heard and refreshments are served after the show.
Pewter Plough Playhouse features:
Seasons of productions season comprising some of the best plays of classic American theatre, works with modern appeal, and tributes to American songwriters

Readers Theatre: Our popular series of dramatized readings, without set or memorization, that provides an opportunity to explore new or unusual comedies and dramas and sometimes serves as a 'proving ground' to test audience approval of plays we may be considering for possible full productions in the future
